Kollide kamp mini QUESTIONS

GENERAL FAQS / CLINIC FAQS / REGISTRATION FAQS
What time is check-in?
Check in starts each day at 8:30a.

What are kamp teams?
While each kamper is assigned to a huddle, they are also assigned to one of our two kamp teams:
Thunder (Blue) or Lightning (Yellow). The entire kamp participates in activities and challenges to earn points for their team all culminating to the Kollide Kamp MINI Champion.

What should my mini kamper bring to kamp each day?
Each day, your kamper should bring:
  • Snack
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle

On Wednesday we have Water Day! We recommend your kamper wear a swimsuit and bring towel for water fun. For more info, please refer to the Water Day question below.

What does a typical day look like for my mini kamper?
Kampers will start out with a morning program, including worship, fun skits and teaching. Then kampers will participate in one sport each day learning basic skills and compete in fun activities and games.

Is there a medical team onsite?
Yes. We have a team of licensed healthcare professionals onsite throughout the week. All medics are EMTs, Paramedics or RNs with extensive sports medicine training.

What if my child needs medication during the day?
Please be sure to share any medical information on your form when you register. When you check-in your kamper on Monday, you may take their medication, epiPens and/or inhalers to the medical team.

After the closing program on Friday, please remember to return to the medical station to pick up your kamper’s meds.

My child has allergies, is your kamp peanut free?
No. Kampers bring their own snacks. We are not able to control what is brought to kamp. However, any snacks we provide are peanut free and kampers all wash their hands after snack.

Who are the Kounselors & Klinicians?

Mini Kounselors are students completing grade 6. Kounselors apply for their positions and volunteer their time to make sure your kamper has the best week possible. Our Klinicians are adults who over see all kounselors and kampers.

What are the theme days?
Each day at kamp, kampers are invited to participate in theme days. These are not required, but do help them to earn more points for the team.

     2020 Theme Days
     Monday- Team Color Day
     Tuesday- Favorite Sport Team
     Wednesday- Water Day
     Thursday- Wacky Day
     Friday- Kamp T-Shirt Day

What is Water Day?
Wednesday is Water Day! Kampers participate in fun water games and activities! We recommend kampers wear a swimsuit, bring towel, sunscreen and sandals with straps, so they stay on.

What is the schedule for parents on Friday?
Parents are invited to join their kamper for our closing program at 11:40a. During the closing program parents get a taste of Kollide Mini, hear more about what their kamper experienced during the week, and ends with a highlight slideshow.
